2008 Proved to be a banner year for the Assassins, with 4 of the club’s 5 teams seeing action in the finals.
The women’s XV defeated the Sturgeon Creek Rowdies in a thrilling double overtime game to take the Provincial Championship. The Men’s Colts also won the U19 championship in a convincing fashion.
The Men’s Premier side took a massive step forward, going from missing the playoffs in 07 to losing a heartbreaker to the Wasps in this year’s provincial title to the tune of 13-7. The women’s colts also advanced to the U19 championships where they too played a hard fought game against the Highlanders.
